Job responsibilities

Healthcare assistants play a vital role in the care of patients. You will be working along side a nurse and other health professionals. Health care assistants have many different responsibilities with there day-to-day needs with personal hygiene, meal times and mobility. Throughout the day patients will require medical observations which are oxygen saturations, pulse and temperature checks and blood pressure checks.

Qualifications/experience

Essential

  • oMaths and English GCSE A-D or equivalent

Desirable

  • oNVQ or equivalent

Experience

Essential

  • oPrevious experience in health or care setting

Desirable

  • oPrevious experience on a HCOP ward
