The Drug Product QC team are a highly skilled analytical team involved in testing a wide variety of materials for both release and stability testing. Drug product QC technician are encouraged to be flexible across a number of techniques and wider product range.
The teams are constantly driving continuous improvement activities so this mentality is essential for the team. There are also lots of opportunities in the team to develop other skills – e.g. LI lead, MSDM, ManEx, problem solving, etc.
We are now recruiting for Analytical Laboratory Technicians/Senior Analytical Laboratory Technicians to join the Drug Product teams at our Macclesfield site.
The role
Testing Formulated products against registered Quality Specifications and ensuring quality, safety and efficacy prior to delivery to the customer
Utilising a wide range of analytical techniques to enable testing to proceed. This would include many techniques including HPLC, GC, KF, IR, UV, Dissolution both manually and with automated equipment.
Ensuring the appropriate quality systems are followed in order for the laboratory to meet its responsibilities with respect to GCLP, GMP and SHE.
Being part of Manufacturing Excellence and LEAN in the lab (5s, standard work, continuous improvement, problem solving, etc)
Essential Skills & Experience
Qualified to A level/or equivalent in Chemistry
Work experience in a GMP environment, ideally in the area of laboratory quality control
Experience in analytical techniques, electronic notebooks and data handling systems
